We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to lead the integrated business planning process for our automotive manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in aligning demand, supply, and financial planning across the organization to ensure optimal service levels, operational efficiency, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in S&OP processes within the automotive OEM space and a strong track record of cross-functional leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the company-wide S&OP process, ensuring alignment between demand planning, supply planning, production, procurement, finance, and commercial teams.
- Partner closely with the VP of supply chain to develop and implement S&OP strategies that support business objectives.
- Manage and build a team to facilitate weekly executive S&OP meetings and drive consensus on forecast, supply plans, and capacity management.
- Translate customer demand forecasts into actionable supply and production plans that align with long-term manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Sales teams to integrate new product introductions and end-of-life planning into operational strategies.
- Analyze data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and customer service levels.
- Lead scenario planning and risk assessments to proactively manage supply chain disruptions and market volatility.
- Develop and manage S&OP performance metrics and dashboards for senior leadership.
- Ensure robust planning systems, tools, and processes are in place to support scalable growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on S&OP.
- Direct experience in the automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment.
- Deep understanding of demand planning, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and production scheduling.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to integrate operational and financial planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and planning tools (e.g., Aera, Kinaxis, Anaplan, o9, or similar).
- APICS/IBF certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CPF) is a plus.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. Base Pay Range (Annual)
$195,100—$286,110 USD
