KCAP has three manufacturing facilities (Truck, Transit and Stamping) which produce gas and electric vehicles. Candidate will assist in modeling changes that occur regularly to help make better decisions for the company. Cost savings opportunities need to be driven by this position and needs to have a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities
In this position...
You will be an integral part of a Kansas City Assembly Plant Controller’s Office team. You will assist in delivering cost targets, keep sound internal control, and modernize the Ford finance organization.
What You'll Do...
- Daily Cost Reporting for vehicle manufacturing operations
- Track overtime reporting and monitor various operating metrics (scrap, industrial materials, credit card, etc.) to help management drive operating efficiency
- Participate in month-end asset verifications and inventory auditing
- Collaborate with various teams, helping them develop the cost elements behind cost-saving initiatives. This could involve anything from process optimization to identifying areas for waste reduction
- Dedicate time to modernizing our reporting processes, exploring tools like Power BI, various Ai Platforms, and Alteryx to streamline workflows and improve data visualization
- Act as trusted partner on an agile team supporting the Controller and Plant Manager
- Complete ad hoc business requests in dynamic environment
- Be the interface with the operating team to address cost issues/problems they encounter
- Identify, drive, and implement cost saving ideas (think “Lean”) with operating counterparts
- Participate in Business Control Center (BCC), Plant Control Center (PCC) & Department Control Center (DCC) and cost reviews
- Conduct daily floor walks to talk with employees to identify areas for improvement
Qualifications
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance
- Must be proficient in Excel, with knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, and other advanced Excel functions, coupled with analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong Project Finance/Accounting Skills for corporate environment (forecasts, budgets, actuals, accruals, understanding cap/exp, etc.)
- Innovative Mindset / Strategic Thinking Analytical Skills – Ability to collect and quickly analyze data and manage multiple concurrent projects
- Outstanding oral and written presentation skills; ability to influence
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well across multiple functions
Even better, you may have...
- Master’s degree in business or finance
- Systems experience in Power BI, building dashboards, SharePoint and Alteryx.
- Experience in a manufacturing facility

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.
