Rivian is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Software Engineering to lead a talented team in our rapidly expanding Serbia office. This isn't just a management role; it's an opportunity to architect the software foundation that will enable Rivian to scale exponentially. You'll be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that directly impact our ability to deliver groundbreaking electric adventure vehicles to the world.
Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and enforce best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and deployment.
- Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define project scope, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Contribute to the architectural design and implementation of scalable and reliable systems.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.
- Build strong relationships with other engineering teams and departments across Rivian.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and tools.
- Ensure that the team is following industry best practices.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience, with a passion for developing and mentoring engineers.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a global or international environment is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to build and implement coding standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Experience with automotive software development.
- Experience with building amazing teams.
