To support that, we are seeking a Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our team in the Americas.
In this role, you will focus on driving the growth of our content licensing business, identifying and developing commercial opportunities, and managing key partner relationships. You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our reach, deepening audience engagement, and creating incremental business value while upholding the integrity and premium quality of Bloomberg’s journalism.
What You’ll Do
- Drive growth and meet revenue targets by leveraging Bloomberg Media’s suite of multi-platform products.
- Proactively identify and pursue new, high-impact revenue-generating opportunities with both new and existing partners.
- Manage and grow existing client relationships, working closely with our centralized Partner Operations team to reduce churn and expand revenue.
- Own the end-to-end deal process from prospecting and qualifying to pitching, negotiating, securing internal approvals, and closing.
- Lead post-deal partner management, ensuring long-term success and alignment.
- Draft compelling proposals, prepare presentations, maintain accurate customer records, and review legal agreements in collaboration with legal teams.
- Think creatively to identify new business opportunities and develop innovative commercial models.
- Collaborate on complex, cross-functional deals involving licensing, subscriptions, marketing, and advertising.
- Develop deal frameworks, perform financial analysis, and contribute to negotiation strategy and execution plans.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across Ad Sales, Finance, Marketing, Product, Legal, Editorial, and Operations to align on strategy and execution.
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects for the Bloomberg Media leadership team.
- Stay current on industry and competitor trends, using market intelligence to inform your work.
What You’ll Bring
- 7–10 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or corporate development.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and internal relationships, including influencing at senior levels.
- A self-starter mentality with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for driving growth.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. media and fintech landscape, including key players and platforms.
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Prior experience in the media and/or fintech industries is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
