General Description
Provide leadership to McCoy Rockford’s furniture, architectural solutions, and flooring business units’ operations teams. Role model and support a culture that represents McCoy Rockford’s values. Create a logistics operation that enhances the profit and performance of the company.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Build relationships with key clients and suppliers to facilitate growth
- Oversee the customer experience from fulfillment to delivery to installation and post-installation support
- Participate in local and national organizations that build industry network and knowledge
- Present new service offerings to McCoy Rockford sales and potential clients and educate on present service capabilities
- Develop and drive metrics within operations to track improvements in productivity and effectiveness; continuously review processes to drive efficiency and streamline operations
- Communicate with McCoy Rockford Leadership ensuring that they have a clear view of client needs and that the client’s voice is always represented in our strategic decision-making process
- Partner with other McCoy Rockford departments to help meet or exceed company goals
- Constantly talk and teach the values and culture of the organization
- Partner with Sales to incorporate returns on investment & sell the value proposition in proposals and bids. Support business development in the principles of economic selling.
- Optimize the strategic theme of “Ease of Doing Business” by fully leveraging technology and available tools
- Initiate regular two-way communication with customers about their expectations and take the lead in articulating and implementing customer focused strategy build on systematic and regular data collection.
- Appropriately delegate supervisory responsibility to subordinates & provide coaching to operations managers and supervisors. Partner with Human Resources on employee issues and participate in the interview and hiring process.
- Directly responsible for planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS
Work Experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of working experience managing a distribution, logistics or field service organization
- Minimum of 5 years directly leading and building high performing, engaged teams
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Logistics or related area
Other/Preferred
- Analytical skills required to perform complex problem-solving activities
- Knowledge of manufacturer / dealer interfaces and hand-off procedures
- Skilled in analyzing, developing and initiating workflow process improvement
- Track record of building relationships with external customers, vendors & internal customers
- Superior leadership skills with a history of implementing dramatic positive changes
- Experience preparing and executing a strategic plan to operate and grow the organization
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver a clear message whether the audience in a front-line employee or a senior executive
- Ability to develop and maintain positive employee, customer and cross-functional team relations while holding employees accountable
- Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and solve a variety of complex logistical/project planning activities
- Ability to make critical business decisions with limited information and time
- Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred
