Senior Director of Engineering Services - New York!

Here is some of what you will do:
Leadership and Strategy
- Create and maintain a strategic plan for the engineering workstream, focusing on innovation, best practices, and operational excellence for all engineering activities
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in facility management and engineering, implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability
- Develop and lead a high-performing team, taking a player/coach approach when necessary
- Provide cross-functional leadership for delivering operational excellence to the client, engaging 3rd party subject matter experts and platform support as needed
Client Relationship Management
- Act as a key client point of contact and trusted advisor for engineering services
- Delight our customer! Ensure client satisfaction by providing a seamless interface; demonstrate leadership, responsiveness, and creativity.
- Develop and deliver compelling client presentations that outline ways to add value through engineering services, leveraging strong technology and communication skills to effectively convey complex information and innovative solutions
Technical Expertise and Operations Management
- Develop and implement engineering operational strategies and quality controls aligned with best practices, regulatory requirements, and partnership objectives; ensure performance achieves KPI/CPI targets and delivers MSA required services
- Provide or source technical support to support service delivery, leveraging JLL resources and other SMEs when appropriate
- Technology: Leverage data for fact-based management and effective reporting; oversee the engineering team's use of technology platforms to support asset management requirements, engineering operations, and improvements
- Conduct root cause analysis on all incidents and reform processes in support of continuous improvement
- Lead engineering services efforts to onboard or offboard sites as the client's portfolio changes, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining operational excellence
Financial/Project Management
- Manage departmental budgets and analyze key performance indicators
- Complete asset Life Cycle Analysis and develop rolling 5+ year capital budget
- Conduct all activities with a focus on cost savings and innovation
- Oversee large-scale, complex engineering projects and initiatives; manage resources, timelines, and budgets effectively
Safety, Compliance, and Risk Management
- Ensure engineering operations receive required safety training, receive proper PPE, and work safely by following safety regulations and guidelines
- Responsible for engineering team’s successful participation in the JLL Client Assurance Program and compliance with all regulatory, client, and firm requirements
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in client portfolio, engineering processes, and systems; escalate as needed to resolve
Team Development Plans
- Responsible for developing a high-performing team, including staff succession and growth plans.
- Administer technical skills assessments and training programs for engineering personnel
Here is who we are looking for:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering management, preferably in Financial Services or sites with critical systems
- Demonstrated leadership, including the ability to manage change effectively
- Strong financial acumen; understands budgeting & forecasting
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex ideas in a concise and summarized manner
- Ability to comply with JLL and client-directed Policies & Procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in developing client/executive level presentations.
- The ability to report on-site with travel as needed
Pay $190,000-220,000 with a 25% targeted bonus of the annual salary
