As the Senior Director of Facility Management , you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to a team of professionals in delivering exceptional facility management and engineering services for our clients portfolio. By leveraging your expertise in facility management, engineering, operations, and client relationship management, you will optimize the performance of the portfolio and enhance the tenant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, develop, and inspire a team of facility management professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team achieves established goals and objectives.
- Facilitate an environment that leverages a systems and processes to define and deliver consistently across a national footprint in alignment with client objectives and meets performance goals
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify development needs, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities
- Ensure supplier performance in alignment with performance goals
- Service Delivery:
- Manage the delivery of facilities and engineering Services to the portfolio in accordance with all agreed policies, procedures, and contract scope.
- Manage team members at a management level to ensure the performance of their teams as well as maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and address issues or escalations.
- Manage vendor performance ensuring services are delivered in accordance with the contract and to agreed standards.
- Drive initiatives such as savings programs, benchmarking, best practices and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all account level KPI/SLA targets are achieved.
- Maintain adherence to all account governance processes, partner with the Account Director and client on account governance evolution.
- Leverages the JLL IFM/Engineering platform through regional IFM networks, JLL’s innovation and best practice sharing program (Idea Stream) to provide improved IFM services aligned with the account plan, goals, and objectives.
- Advocates diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
- Complies with client specific and JLL accounting/contracting practices, policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.
- Strategic Facility Management:
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop a comprehensive facility management strategy aligned with their goals.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the portfolio, including maintenance, operations, sustainability, and risk management.
- Drive innovative solutions and best practices to optimize facility performance, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building strong relationships based on trust and a deep understanding of their needs.
- Regularly review performance indicators, identify opportunities for improvement, and proactively address issues.
- Navigate and act as a strategic advisor across the clients complex organization, offering insights and recommendations to enhance their real estate portfolio.
- Provides superior client support and relationship management as evidenced by favorable KPI scores and client surveys, client contract compliance, JLL EHS program compliance and team safety performance.
- Deliver an exceptional quality of service to the client, as reflected by client feedback.
- Financial Management and Reporting:
- Manage the Facilities Team in the annual client budgeting process, executing services within the agreed operating budget, and monthly reporting on budget performance.
- Manage account invoice approval, purchasing card, expense processes in accordance with established processes and procedures.
- Review and approve service partner contracts, support account sourcing initiatives, manage third party contractual spend.
- Comply with client specific and JLL accounting/contracting practices, policies and procedures.
- Oversee the financial performance of the portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Monitor financial reports and provide guidance to the team on budget management and financial decision-making.
- Lead the development, measurement, and performance of the account and client goals.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of performance reporting to the ensure the teams performance and reporting to the client.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Develop and implement standardized processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client-specific guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate risks through proactive measures and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
- Ensure the health, safety, and security of occupants by implementing and maintaining rigorous safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- [10+] years of experience in facility management.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of facility management best practices, operational processes, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in facility management software, computer-aided facility management (CAFM) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
