Your Responsibilities
As a Robotics Dev Ops Engineer for Blue River Technology (Santa Clara) located in Santa Clara, CA, you will:
- Collaborate with robotics and perception teams to optimize on-robot compute infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability of software applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment and testing of autonomy software on autonomous systems.
- Develop and manage cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure to support scalable and efficient data processing and storage for robotic systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to on-robot software and infrastructure, providing timely resolutions to maintain operational efficiency.

What Skills You Need
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role
- Thorough knowledge of Git for version control and managing source code.
- Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker)
- Knowledge of Linux kernel and embedded Linux (deploying software via Rauc is a plus)
- Knowledge of deep profiling and debugging tools, including GDB, Wireshark, grafana
- Ability to design and deploy on-robot infrastructure that accelerates software deployment: automating docker pulls, designing a retention policy on older software versions, writing and updating systemctl services, etc.
- Ability to design and deploy on-robot logging and observability tools. Includes responsibility for log retention policies and policies for offloading logs of interest to the cloud.
- Knowledge of distributed tracing and kernel tracing tools desired
- Ability to write concise clear documentation that other engineers can leverage
- Experience with DDS technologies
- Experience with DNS and networking topology
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with ROS/ROS2 or similar
- Experience with robotic systems or autonomous vehicles
- Experience with simulation tools
- Experience with testing
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
