The Inventory Control Analyst is a mid-level role that requires deep involvement in inventory management, focusing on data analysis, process improvements, and mentoring junior team members. The role demands proficiency in Oracle WMS, advanced data analysis skills, and expertise with RF Scanners. The analyst plays a key role in driving operational efficiency and accuracy in inventory processes, making this position crucial for maintaining accurate inventory and reducing discrepancies.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Advanced Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets in Oracle WMS + Tableau to identify trends, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities, utilizing advanced Excel functions and data tools to provide actionable insights that enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Process Leadership: Lead and coordinate cycle counting processes, ensuring thorough and accurate counts while implementing initiatives to reduce variances. Optimize counting methods, data entry procedures, and usage of Oracle WMS and RF Scanners to align with business goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization to implement process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Mentorship & Training: Mentor and train Associate Inventory Control Analysts, providing guidance on Oracle WMS, RF Scanners, and inventory management best practices to develop team capabilities.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive the continuous enhancement of inventory management processes, contributing to the organization's overall operational excellence.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with company policies while supporting advanced reporting needs to deliver deeper insights into inventory trends and variances.
- Leadership Development: Build and demonstrate leadership skills by managing initiatives, coaching team members, and influencing organizational improvements in inventory practices.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and exemplary teamwork.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred
- Tableau, Oracle WMS experience preferred
