The logistics clerk will assist in the smooth and efficient operations of Redwood's logistics and supply chain process. This will include tasks such as tracking shipments, coordinating with suppliers and carriers, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods. The logistics clerk acts as a key point of contact for all logistics-related inquiries and plays a critical role in maintaining the overall flow of goods and materials within the organization.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Assisting in coordinating inbound and outbound warehouse shipment operations
- Communicating with logistics carriers to resolve issues or delays
- Tracking and reporting on shipment statuses
- Maintain accurate records of shipments
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate and train on equipment such as forklifts
- Ability to stand for extended periods (more than 50% of shift)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent walking and standing, in addition to sitting
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
