Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly engaged Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting
to join our growing finance team at Rivian. In this critical role, you will be responsible for
preparing and filing SEC reports, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations,
and maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and transparency. The ideal
candidate has a strong interest in technical accounting, experience in public company reporting,
thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and is eager to contribute to a team that

ResponsibilitiesSEC Filings: Prepare and review 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings, ensuring compliance with SEC
reporting requirements.
Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation and review of consolidated financial
statements, footnotes, supporting memos and other documentation, and MD&A disclosures.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP,
SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.
Technical Accounting Research: Research and document accounting positions on complex
transactions, such as strategic investments, stock-based compensation, debt/equity
arrangements, and employee matters, as well as perform recurring evaluations such as loss
contingency and SAB 99 analyses.
XBRL Tagging: Assist in the preparation and review of XBRL tagging for SEC filings.Audit Support – Work closely with external auditors, providing support for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, and Legal teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in reporting.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement automation tools and best practices to improve financial reporting efficiency.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to SEC reporting and technical
accounting.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: Strong awareness of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX
compliance.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex accounting issues and prepare technical memos.
Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
interact with cross-functional teams.
Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate complex reporting requirements and drive solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification: CPA strongly preferred.
Public Accounting Experience: Big Four experience or prior work in a publicly traded company
is a plus.
