Position Summary:
The Senior Analyst, Investor Relations will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a clean-energy company by supporting the Vice President Investor Relations in developing and executing the IR strategy, plans, budget, and IR program. The primary operating objective of the IR program is to educate and update investors and security analysts about the company to achieve a fair relative stock price. The program must accurately represent and reflect the company.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the collection and analysis of relative stock price movements, investors’ and analysts’ perceptions and opinions, and stock ownership.
- Creates detailed sell-side consensus model, compares to EVgo’s long-term model and identifies areas of opportunity for messaging.
- Collaborates in executing the investor relations program, including strategy, operating plan, budget, and the detailed execution of the IR program.
- Supports the IR efforts around investor targeting to find, educate and encourage prospective investors by screening and managing data from capital market intelligence system.
- Assists in creating publications for the IR program including earnings call materials, SEC reports, annual reports, investor fact sheets, IR website, and ESG reports.
- Provides relevant insights and builds and maintains financial models on peer companies and industries.
- Collaborates with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Communications and Marketing and others as needed on quarterly earnings call and other materials.
- Collaborates with Communication and Marketing on communication-and-media strategy, key messages, integration and consistency of messages and efforts, and support to employees.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field required with master’s degree highly desirable.
- More than four years of experience in investor relations, finance, marketing, financial planning, corporate development, or corporate communication positions for a public company or experience as an investment bank, sell-side or buy-side analyst.
- A clear and thorough understanding of the financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company’s operating and financial performance and the resulting value for its stock.
- An in-depth understanding of the financial and investment markets and the ability to establish new relationships in new industries quickly.
- Ability to acquire understanding of corporate communications, public relations, legal, marketing, and the media.
- Outstanding financial and investment analysis skills, oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- An energetic, efficient, and resourceful team player and individual contributor.
For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $100,000 USD to $110,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
