With Solar Panels, Solar Roof, Powerwall, and home charging products working together in the residential ecosystem.
Virtual Power Plants and Interoperability are a fundamental parts of the residential product ecosystem. As the grid evolves and these distributed energy resources are installed at scale, the value available to the grid becomes very large. We need a dedicated Product Manager help communicate and execute this vision to both engineering teams and utility stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Shepard the Plan: Define the vision, strategy and roadmap for Tesla residential products as it relates to Virtual Power Plants and Interoperability, ensure the business goals and technical roadmaps are consistentOwn Experience Metrics: Be responsible for key VPP metrics such growth, churn, customer/aggregator experience and value generation. For interoperability; success looks like reducing unique standards and requirements, while maintaining broad market accessDrive Cross Functional Alignment: Be a integral part of the software engineering process by gathering and clarifying requirements, ensuring all teams are driving to the same outcomeLand the Launch: Ensure that the impact of software changes is being realized by all stakeholders by delivering training, measuring, gathering feedback, and providing visibility for engineering teams
What You'll Bring
Technical understanding of energy products such Inverters, Battery Storage and Vehicle Charging Familiarity with Energy markets (wholesale and/or ancilliary services) Exposure to policy work around compliance and standards developmentDegree in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent experienceA familiarity with APIs, data products and analytics, Python, SQL or similarBe able to demonstrate a ‘customer first’ mentality and empathy with owners and installersStrong communication, presentation, and organizational skills

Expected Compensation
$108,000 - $228,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
