What To Expect
Battery cells are the common denominator for every Tesla product. Our team works with engineering groups across various disciplines, requiring strong communication skills and a team-first mentality. You will work alongside seasoned industry experts, high aptitude recent graduates, and people from every stage in between. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive cell materials development and product introduction for our in-house 4680 cells. You will be the critical bridge between materials, design, manufacturing, quality and NPI to guide supplier qualification for in-production cells and new material designs and chemistries for future cell programs.
What You'll Do
Bridge cell and materials engineers with cell programs, working with downstream Cell PMs to plan new materials introductions for future in-house cell designsCreate and refine phase gate structures and requirements to capture the full gamut of materials development, from inception and design to introduction into cell productCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to crystallize project schedules for materials development and deploymentPartner with NPI and manufacturing teams to smoothly introduce cell materials changes into mass production cellsMaintain thorough documentation and clearly communicate project status, risks and solutions to stakeholders
What You'll Bring
Degree or equivalent experience in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, etc.2+ years of experience in technical program management or engineeringFamiliarity with Li-ion cell design, manufacturing and testingProficient with program management tools (e.g., Jira)Excellent communication skills and ability to identify and pull-in cross-functional stakeholders across multiple geographic locations

Expected Compensation
$88,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
