What To Expect
The Quality Technician will support the production of Model S3XY Battery packs, large drive units and Tesla Energy products. They will verify that incoming, in-process, and fully assembled material meets Tesla specifications. They are responsible for conducting process audits, inspecting material, and coordinating MRB activities, including data input, reporting, and logistics. The Quality Technician will work closely with Quality Engineering to provide reports, charts, graphs etc to monitor and improve product quality. The successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to work independently. They must establish and maintain a professional working relationship with line supervisors, operators, and manufacturing engineering.
What You'll Do
Inspection of ‘Critical to Quality’ characteristics in the assembly process at Quality StationsPerform Sampling audits to verify Quality Key characteristics are maintained within specification throughout assembly processManage nonconforming material through the MRB process to ensure that nonconforming material is identified, appropriately dispositioned, tracked, and reportedAssist quality engineer in containment activities and material sort activitiesConduct regular process audits to identifying non-conforming material and deviations from acceptable processMaintain quality inspection key points and propose necessary updates based on audit findings, product designDocument audit results, report out on findings, and recommend improvements
What You'll Bring
1 – 3+ years of experience in a ManufacturingQuality Control environment Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 or TS16924 a plusAbility to read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical drawingsDemonstrated proficiency in root cause analysis and implementation of countermeasuresStrong understanding of electrical fundamentals (voltage, current, resistance)Ability to manipulate and interpret data, especially SPC charts, control chartsPareto chart experience, detail oriented and extremely organized with proficiency in MS Excel and Word

Expected Compensation
$25.88 - $38.46/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
