Project Managers on the Battery Pack Design Engineering team drive programs from R&D concept to high volume production. The role requires a highly organized mind set, a passion to launch new technologies and an unparalleled ability to pull people together to make things happen. Our designs and schedules push the limits of physical possibility, which requires you to be extremely detail oriented and drive the design and cross functional teams to execute quickly at high quality. You will drive collaboration with many engineering groups, and ensure our team is aligned with company priorities. Tesla moves quickly, so being self‐motivated and disciplined is critical. You must be passionate, but direction changes frequently, so you must also be resilient. Our small team makes the batteries for all our Electric Vehicles.
What You'll Do
Accountable for creating, maintaining & communicating schedules & plans for battery projectsDrive action with internal & cross functional teams to successfully complete projects within time & resource constraints Identify creative & timely solutions to key program challengesTrack project progress & report effectively on status, blockers & changesDevelop & maintain effective communication channels to all stakeholdersTrack resourcing of projects & drive resource balancing between different program prioritiesSupport tracking & execution of design validation testingIdentify team priorities & motivate the project team to complete critical tasksDevelop systems & best practices for communication & change managementOwn product BOM accuracy & communication of changes between design, supply chain, PMI & material planningComplete appropriate documentation & ensure accuracy of data across Tesla systems (Enovia, MES, WARP, Polarion)
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience & evidence of exceptional abilityExcellent communication skills, both verbal & writtenExperience creating reports, analyses or reporting tools for managementExperience in managing or launching hardware productsUnderstanding of the design cycle & design problem solving processesAbility to work cross‐functionally & manage large teamsDetail oriented with strong record‐keeping & organizational skillsGood overall computer skills, including Microsoft Office & e‐mail programsA desire to increase the effectiveness of your teammates

Expected Compensation
$68,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
