JOB SUMMARY:
The Head of Finance & Accounting will be responsible for the company’s overall financial management. This role will have day-to-day responsibility for financial planning, implementing and managing all financial-related activities of the organization.
Responsibilities & Key Activities
- Take lead and develop a continuous evaluation of both short-term and long-term financial strategies to ensure achievement of company objectives
- Provide timely and detailed analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial trends, and maintain the credibility of the Finance department
- Take a leadership position in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive job cost system
- Evaluate and advise on the long-term impacts of financial planning, the launch of new products or strategies, and regulatory actions
- Maintain strong relationships with the senior executives by identifying their needs and providing a wide range of business solutions
- Evaluate company performance and recommend improvements that can be employed to enhance performance and develop new business opportunities
- Implement effective internal controls within the organization and ensure compliance with the control guidelines
- Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards (such as US GAAP or IFRS), federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial reporting

Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a similar discipline
- 8+ years’ experience managing the finance and accounting department
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Big 4 experience, preferred
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
- Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance experience
- Knowledge of application of US GAAP
- Experience with SAP
- Strong relationship building and management skills
- Experience in a start-up environment a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
- May require up to 35% travel
We are committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. The pay range for this position is $230,000-$290,000.
