About RivianRivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
Role SummaryThe Lead Editor (LE) is a key member of Rivian’s Creative Studio, the in-house content team responsible for video, photography, and select design projects across the business. This role demands technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and the ability to work fluidly across a variety of projects - from long-form documentary edits, to website loops, to high-impact commercial spots.
The LE will collaborate closely with in-house editors, freelancers, creative directors, writers, designers, animators, and audio engineers, handling everything from ingesting and organizing media after shoots to transcoding, making selects, and shaping projects from concept to final delivery.
Every single project starts at the same important place: a challenge and a push for the best creative we can share with the world. Oftentimes, that will land on the LE to mold something great with little to go on - regardless of fidelity or where it came from. The LE must feel confident in this space, and willing to embrace these types of challenges with the rest of the Creative Studio.
