Digital Products Engineering is responsible for Tesla’s customer facing website which serves customers in over 60 countries, helping users understand and purchase our groundbreaking products, and keep track of their orders through delivery.
Tesla’s Digital Product Engineering team is seeking an exceptional Software Engineer, with experience in backend development, who will be responsible for building information systems to support Tesla's rapid growth while providing a seamless and intuitive customer experience. Candidate will be part of core services team at tesla, which owns backend orchestration of both Vehicle and Energy Products (storage/solar/charging) entire journey from Order, Purchase, Delivery/Installation and Ownership.

What You'll Do
Design, develop and support applications and systems under the team’s scope, including Vehicle and Energy order processing, Product Installation and Ownership experience, and features accessible through mobile app, etc.Be flexible and quick to respond to changing business priorities and requirementsOwn feature development and projects through design, development, testing, release and productionWrite clean, maintainable, performant, and well-tested code to implement new features and fix bugsWrite unit tests, integration tests, and work with QA to coordinate timely regression for new featuresMonitor live system metrics, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production issuesInvestigate and understand existing system technical functionality and propose technical improvementsCommunicate changes in project estimates, dependencies, and blockers with affected stakeholders quicklyUnderstand and improve the scalability, maintainability, availability, and visibility of applicationsWork with technologies such as Go, C#, .Net core, MySQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, GraphQL, Javascript, Docker, Kubernetes
What You'll Bring
Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experienceExpert knowledge of REST APIsExperience writing code in object oriented languagesExperience with microservices, or service oriented architectureExperience with databases (either SQL or NoSQL)Good unit testing and integration testing practicesExperience with message queue architectureExperience with Mysql, PostgreSQLExperience or Knowledge on open source technologies such as Kafka, Debezium, Elasticsearch, etc.

Expected Compensation
$133,440 - $200,160/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
