What You'll Do
Champion and observe all safety policiesSupport of grading, minor pothole repairs, winter weather response, dust control, road sweeping, and general site clean upRecommend improvement projects for gravel areas, winter weather, dust control and road sweepingComplete training in the use of heavy equipment and site maintenanceComplete preventative site maintenance of equipmentAble to respond to factory off hours during inclement weather or any other deemed emergencyWork directly with Facilities Ground Lead to understand scope and execution of work detail
What You'll Bring
Experience in groundskeeping, heavy equipment operation, vehicle maintenance, and familiarity with schematics and site plansDemonstrated reliability, initiative, and ability to adapt to varying work schedules and fast-paced environmentsEffective communication skills, attention to detail, and flexibility, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive informationMultitasking ability, adaptability to change, and wearing required PPE for tasks involving hazardous areas and chemicalsPhysical capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, lift up 20 lbs., and work in loud environments; discern audible alarmsPossession of a valid state driver's license with Class A CDL and current DOT Physical Examination medical card, with expertise in operating various heavy, medium, and light equipment and street-related specialized equipment, including training others. Availability for on-call after-hours work, displaying knowledge of general maintenance, construction, tools, and equipment
