Veeco Instruments is looking for a high caliber and motivated Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering Group. As part of this group, the individual will drive development activities to enable next-generation product platforms and technologies.

Work hands-on with building, testing, troubleshooting, and generating testing reports of related high vacuum process equipment.

Coordinate with mechanical/electrical engineering, marketing, field support, and supply chain groups in carrying out system development and improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline with 2 years of experience in electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, or test engineering, or a Master's degree is required. Experience with electrical design, troubleshooting, data acquisition, control systems, and 2D CAD systems is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including controls, instrumentation, sensors, signal conditioning, data acquisition, LabVIEW, and machine control systems

General knowledge of electrical control systems, PLCs, motion control, interlocks, and machine control architecture is helpful
Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $ 105,316.00 - $157,663.00, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
