Inventory Manager – Advanced Manufacturing

We are recruiting an experienced Inventory Manager for a fast-developing advanced manufacturing environment supporting lithium-ion battery development and production.
This is a broad operational leadership role with responsibility for the movement and control of materials across receiving, warehousing, manufacturing support, work-in-progress, finished goods and shipping.
The position will suit someone who enjoys bringing structure, visibility and discipline to complex inventory environments where material accuracy, traceability and availability are critical to production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading receiving, warehouse, inventory-control, material-handling and shipping activities.
- Maintaining accurate inventory, lot, serial and location traceability.
- Managing raw materials, chemicals, production components, WIP and finished goods.
- Ensuring materials are available and correctly issued to manufacturing teams.
- Managing FIFO/FEFO, shelf-life and specialist storage requirements.
- Leading cycle counting, physical inventories and investigation of stock discrepancies.
- Managing finished-goods control, packaging and shipping activity.
- Supporting regulated shipment of lithium batteries and hazardous materials.
- Improving warehouse layout, material flow, stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Coaching and developing warehouse and inventory personnel.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience across inventory, warehousing, logistics or materials management, together with 3+ years of direct people leadership.
Experience within batteries, chemicals, hazardous materials or another regulated manufacturing environment would be particularly valuable. Strong ERP/MES knowledge and experience managing traceable inventory are also important.
