Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project built under a lump-sum EPC contract. As Electrical Engineer you govern the electrical design on the owner's behalf: generators, medium and low voltage distribution, protection, and the electrical balance of plant.
What you get to do:
- Review electrical design deliverables, single lines and equipment specifications.
- Assess protection coordination and short circuit studies.
- Review load flow studies and system stability analysis.
- Evaluate electrical change requests and field queries.
- Partner with the site team on electrical technical questions.
- Track design deliverable status against the schedule.
- Monitor preservation and storage requirements for electrical equipment.
What you bring to the role:
- 10+ years in electrical engineering for power plants.
- Hands-on experience with generator connection and protection system design.
- Working knowledge of IEEE and NFPA 70 standards.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering — required for this position.
Nice to have:
- Owner-side engineering experience.
- Professional engineering registration.
