Sales Manager
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
Inspired Energy is an industry leading manufacturer of Smart batteries and Smart Battery products with the primary focus on design and manufacture of World Class Rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries and chargers for Global distribution.
We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to assist in Sales & Marketing for Lithium-Ion batteries and smart chargers. This role is a salaried position with no sales commission.
Primary Objectives:
Support Inspired Energy product sales and technical support for assisting customers in finding the correct solution for their portable power needs. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the correct performance, pricing, and product compliance meeting customer needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Email centric customer correspondence – engagement.
- Respond to customer inquiries by developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships.
- First line of communication for customer technical support, quality concerns and troubleshooting.
- New product implementation and project management.
- Tradeshow attendance and technical engagement.
- Negotiate Win-Win scenarios for IE and customer.
- Maintain NetSuite Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
- Maintain critical documentation as it pertains to products, pricing, and customer support.
- Work with internal resources to ensure company compliance with local regulatory guidelines and communicate with product management and product development teams to ensure alignment.
- Work with Marketing Manager to execute and grow a strong and successful marketing strategies for the company products which include planning and implementation.
- Work with Marketing Manager to assist with analyzing market research, gather consumer data, and create reports on marketing and sales.
- Representing business in global organizations.
- Keep current with changing global markets supporting portable power, communicate ongoing trends to staff to ensure business continuity is maintained.
Required Skill sets
- Computer skills include high levels of competence with Windows Systems, MS Office suite, Peachtree, NetSuite and various computer programs related to manufacturing and accounting systems.
- Familiar with Smart Battery systems or a technical aptitude to learn the product and design specifications.
- Attention to details in all aspects of the position. Willingness to work as part of a team and independently to support customers and Inspired Energy needs.
- Familiar with global compliance standards for Lithium-Ion batteries and chargers.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Some domestic and international travel required supporting Sales.
- CRM Experience preferred.
Qualified candidates should be able to work independently and within a group performing various tasks related to Lithium-Ion battery Sales support for internal and external customers. Gather data, generate, and present reports to both internal and external customers.
Education
Minimum 2-year degree or experience in a related field preferred Lithium-Ion Smart Battery experience working with customer technical support and sales activities.
All post-secondary education listed on a Candidate’s application and resume must be verifiable, including but not limited to dates of attendance and degree/diploma awarded. Post-secondary education includes any courses taken through an accredited college or university in pursuit of a degree.
Salary to commensurate with qualifications and or experience.
