Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team. The role will focus on one of three key areas: Commercial Legal, Corporate Governance Legal, or Data Protection, depending on your expertise and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Legal
- Provide legal advice and support for business operations, sales, aftersales, marketing and customer services.
- Draft and review commercial contracts, including customer vehicle financing arrangements.
- Advise on licensing, regulatory requirements, compliance and legal risk prevention.
- Support dispute resolution and litigation matters.
Corporate Governance Legal
- Advise on corporate governance, corporate operations and internal legal matters across the VFVN Group.
- Support domestic and international fundraising activities from a legal and corporate governance perspective.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies and governance frameworks.
- Monitor legal compliance and advise on legal risks.
Data Protection
- Provide legal advice on personal data protection, privacy, compliance and AI governance & ethics.
- Review data processing and data transfer agreements and conduct PDPIAs and AI risk assessments.
- Support privacy reviews of customer/user data journeys and handle data subject rights requests.
- Coordinate the resolution of data protection-related complaints and disputes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Law; relevant professional qualifications are a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a lawyer at a reputable law firm or as an in-house legal counsel, preferably in the commercial, transaction & governance, industrial, or automotive sectors.
- Solid knowledge of commercial and contract law.
- Experience working with cross-border legal matters and coordinating with external counsel in international jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of compliance issues related to production.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information.
- Fluency in English is required.
