As an NVH Test Engineer with our NVH team you will play a critical role in the design and development of Tesla’s industry-leading products. You will analyze, optimize, and revolutionize electric vehicle designs. You will work with fellow NVH engineers and other engineering teams to solve the toughest challenges in the industry and deliver world-class performance.
What You'll Do
Conduct and analyze vehicle and component NVH testing to provide design guidance during development and achieve world-class attribute targetsAssess body and closures sealing performance and translate findings into design and process recommendationsCollaborate with body, closures, design, and manufacturing teams to protect NVH attributes and sealing quality from concept through productionPerform component and full-vehicle testing to support NVH validation, attribute target setting, and CAE correlation, including wind noise testing and aeroacoustic simulation correlationDevelop and refine NVH test methods, procedures, and processing techniques for wind noise, sealing evaluation, and related vehicle-level assessments
What You'll Bring
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive NVH, including wind noise testing and body and closures sealingExcellent understanding of acoustics and vibration principles, aeroacoustics, sealing, and digital signal processingExperience with Modal Analysis, Transfer Path Analysis (TPA), Panel Contribution Analysis and general data acquisitionExperienced in NVH test equipment including impact hammers, shakers, PU probes, acoustic cameras, binaural heads, microphones and accelerometersExcellent knowledge of Siemens Simcenter Testlab software for data acquisition and post-processingProficient with MATLAB or PythonStrong communication skills, self-motivation, independent worker, excellent team playerDemonstrated ability to deliver independent root cause analysis on difficult projects with tight timing constraintsDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aeroacoustics, or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation
$91,600 - $316,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
