Summary :
The System QA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing overall quality operations within ESS Link manufacturing, including manufacturing quality, Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Outgoing Quality Control (OQC), inspection laboratory operations, and quality operations personnel management.
This position ensures that quality inspections and verification activities are performed in accordance with established standards and procedures, leads timely responses and escalation of quality concerns, and supports manufacturing quality stabilization and continuous improvement initiatives.
The System QA Supervisor is also responsible for developing and managing quality operations personnel, including System QA Technicians, IQC Inspectors, OQC Inspectors, and other assigned quality personnel, while establishing and maintaining an effective quality operating system within a startup manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities :
1. Manufacturing IT System Operations (MES) & Incident Response
- Operate and stabilize manufacturing production and logistics systems, including on-site support.
- Perform end-to-end incident resolution : identify symptoms → root cause analysis → remediation / recurrence prevention
- Investigate logs, data, and integration flows; trace root causes using DB queries when necessary.
- Collaborate with IT developers and partners to implement fixes and improvements.
- provide user support and handle incidents (including a help desk function) ; create and maintain operational guides, manuals, and documentation standards.
- Related systems : MES, EIF, RTD, MCS, CIM, ERP, etc.
2. Production Process Innovation (PI)
- Analyze current and target (As-is / To-be) production and logistics processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Gather pain points from on-site users/operators and translate them into well-defined requirements and specifications.
- Convert functional and business requirements into clear, structured documentation
(e.g., process flows, screen/report specifications, data element definitions, exception handling, prioritization, acceptance criteria, etc.)
- Collaborate with the HQ PI organization to drive the adoption and improvement of standardized processes and IT systems.
- Support test planning/execution, user training, and post-launch stabilization / continuous improvement.
3. IT Investment Management - Standard System Build & Rollout Projects
- Lead and manage the implementation and rollout of standardized IT systems from HQ to production sites.
- Manage scope, schedule, risk, and qualify; validate deliverables
- Drive collaboration and communication among HQ, related teams, and vendor/partners
- Support post-deployment stabilization, identify advancement opportunities, and contribute to improvement roadmaps.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or higher (any major). Entry-level candidates are welcome.
- Basic understanding of the manufacturing/logistics environment and IT systems.
- Ability to analyze problems logically and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, developers, and partners.
- Competency in structuring requirements into clear, actionable specifications and documentation.
- A track record of turning vague requests into verifiable requirements and acceptance criteria.
Experience :
- Experience in SQL development and database performance analysis within RDBMS environments.
- Knowledge of query tuning techniques, including indexing, execution plans, and join optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Java, C#, or equivalent programming languages.
- Experience supporting or implementing MES, ERP, WMS, or other manufacturing and logistics systems.
- Experience in IT help desk operations and end-user technical support.
- Experience with system interfaces, integration monitoring, and troubleshooting data synchronization issues.
