What To Expect
Tesla is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician who will support site facilities operations at Gigafactory New York in Buffalo. These technicians will provide operations and maintenance support to facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
Shift: 6:50PM-7:00AM; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday
What You'll Do
Champion a safety-first culture, following OSHA standards and Tesla’s safety policiesPerform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, dock levelers, and overhead doorsAddress urgent issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical failures, and emergency response needsSupervise and collaborate with third-party service providers for facility upgrades, repairs, and maintenanceMaintain tools, spare parts, and consumables for various building systems, ensuring proper organization and accessibilityConduct daily facility inspections, track maintenance work in CMMS, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasksAssist with snow/ice removal, workplace logistics, indirect deliveries, and communication with facility supervisors and engineers
What You'll Bring
Vocational/Trade Certification or equivalent experience2+ years in facility maintenance, building operations, or equipment maintenanceProficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, dock maintenance, and preventative maintenance practicesKnowledge of OSHA regulations, Emergency Response Training, LOTO procedures, and fall protection protocolsAbility to lift up to 30 lbs. and work at heights up to 50 feetStrong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environmentPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to Tesla’s mission and values

Expected Compensation
Maintenance Support I - $25.88 - $28.80/hourMaintenance Support II - $30.46 - $33.67/hourMaintenance Support III - $33.09 - $38.46/hour
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
