In this role, you will work as a member of Tesla’s Optimus Test Team and support the component, sub-system and system level testing of Tesla’s Optimus Bot. As a test technician, you will work closely with reliability and test engineers in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to assemble test fixtures, conduct material, performance, and reliability testing, and collect data.
As a successful candidate, you have strong mechanical or electrical hands-on skills and are able to work effectively and independently.
What You'll Do
Build test fixtures and conduct component and system level testsCompile, organize, and archive test resultsDocument and report issues identified during tests or inspectionsPrepare and maintain test parts, devices and equipment Collaborate with engineers to analysis issues discoveredProvide written and verbal test status updates to key stakeholders through JiraSupport engineering teams in instrumentation and data acquisition Comply with safety policies and regulations
What You'll Bring
2+ years of experience with mechanical, electrical, or material testingAbility to operate safely a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, and lab equipmentHands-on experience with test setup and executionExperience and knowledge of collecting data and reporting data in a data collection software such as MS Excel is a mustExcellent teamwork/interpersonal skills with a willingness to gain and share new knowledge and the ability to communicate effectivelyFamiliarity with environmental stress testing or automated test systems is a plusPositive attitude, eager to learn and ability to change direction quicklyRemain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstancesOwn assignments and take full accountability for their successHigh awareness of safety procedures and practices

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
