Are you the person engineers call when they need something actually built, wired and working?
We are looking for a hands-on Electrical / EV Technician to join an innovative engineering business developing advanced battery and electric vehicle technology in Brackley.
This isn't a desk-based electrical engineering position. You'll be working directly with prototype and development hardware – building and modifying wiring looms, terminating cables and connectors, installing electrical components, testing systems and fault-finding on EV and battery hardware.
You'll work closely with E/E Engineers to turn designs and schematics into functioning systems and help solve the practical problems that inevitably appear during prototype development.
We'd love to hear from you if you have experience with:
- Building or modifying wiring looms/harnesses
- Crimping, connectors and cable termination
- Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Electrical assembly and prototype builds
- Multimeters, oscilloscopes and electrical fault finding
- EV, battery, automotive, motorsport or prototype systems
Experience with HV batteries, PDUs/HV junction boxes, inverters, DC/DC converters, chargers, motors or CAN systems would be particularly valuable.
We're open on job title and seniority. You could be an experienced Electrical Technician, EV Technician, Prototype Technician, Battery Technician or a Junior Electrical Engineer who simply prefers being hands-on with the hardware.
If you enjoy building things, solving electrical problems and working on emerging EV technology, we'd like to hear from you.
