Audubon is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The Electrical Engineer will lead or support instrument and control system design for capital projects. You’ll develop I&C deliverables, specify field instrumentation, and interface with control system vendors from design through startup.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, and area classification drawings
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and motor starting studies (ETAP or SKM)
- Size and specify transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, and cables
- Review vendor drawings and support factory acceptance testing
- Coordinate with instrumentation and other disciplines on interfaces
- Ensure compliance with NEC/IEC, IEEE, and project standards
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (PE or progress toward licensure a plus)
- 4–8 years of experience in industrial power distribution design
- Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, or similar power system analysis tools
- Knowledge of hazardous area classification and grounding design
- Strong analytical and coordination skills
