We are seeking a Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for Credo’s high-speed connectivity products, including SerDes-based retimers, DSPs, and Active Electrical Cables. In this role, you will write efficient and reliable C code that configures, calibrates, and monitors our silicon, and work closely with hardware, silicon, and software teams to take products from bring-up through production.
Base salary range is $80,000 - $110,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
- Good understanding of the C programming language and embedded software development.
- Basic knowledge of SerDes concepts and high-speed signaling.
- Experience with embedded development tools such as cross-compilers, debuggers, and JTAG.
- Ability to read schematics and datasheets and to program hardware at the register level.
- Familiarity with lab equipment and hardware debugging workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Hands-on experience with SerDes bring-up, link training, or PHY tuning.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python) for test automation and lab tooling.
- Implement and maintain embedded firmware in C for Credo’s SerDes-based retimers, DSPs, and interconnect products.
- Develop drivers and control routines for device initialization, configuration, calibration, and diagnostics at the register level.
- Support silicon bring-up and validation in the lab, debugging issues that span the hardware/firmware boundary.
- Collaborate with hardware, silicon, and software teams to define firmware requirements and resolve integration issues. Optimize firmware for performance, memory footprint, and reliability on resource-constrained embedded targets.
- Write clear documentation and participate in code reviews to maintain firmware quality.
