Responsibilities

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT: Charlotte, NC
POSITION TITLE: Cost Accounting Manager
- Inventory internal control and analysis, create and maintain standard costs and product structures.
- Variance analysis for raw materials and finished goods inventory.
- Analysis and reporting of inventory variances and conversion costs.
- Main raw materials price calculation, price adjustments and accruals.
- Responsible for Month end Manufacturing closing process to ensure accurate relay of information to upper management
- Actively manage and analyze international product for resale operations and margins
- Work with external auditors on a quarterly and annual basis by providing analysis of inventory balances and fluctuations as needed.
- Coordinate yearly physical observations.
- Coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT, receiving, shipping, and other.
- Travel Domestic – 10%; and International - 2.5%
- Hybrid schedule - in office 3 days per week

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Accounting or closely related field AND five (5) years’ experience as Cost Accountant, Internal Auditor, Plant Accountant, or closely related.
Applicants must have two (2) years’ experience with the following:
- managerial or supervisory capacity in cost accounting
Applicants Must Have Demonstrative Experience With The Following
- accounting principles and IFRS
- ERP accounting systems
- MS Excel
- inventory cost accounting: standard cost, variable cost, variance analysis, fully absorbed direct cost, and net realizable value.
- supervisory and analytical skills - set SMART goals, establish and review KPI’s and KBI’s and open to conduct evaluations with direct reports
- collaborate with cross-functional teams, preparing internal control memorandums, clear power point presentations, leading meetings and discussions.
