Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organizations mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility
- Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals, including engineers, specialists, and support staff, ensuring efficient and effective HSE engineering practices
- Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications
- Stay updated on changing regulations and industry best practices
- Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses in the workplace
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures
- Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for HSErelated incidents, including accidents and environmental emergencies
- Develop and manage the HSE budget, allocate resources, and seek cost-effective solutions to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection
- Promote environmental sustainability by implementing ecofriendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the organizations operations
- Establish and enforce quality control standards in HSE engineering, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments
- Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 6+ years of experience in HSE Engineering
- 6+ years of leadership and direct team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
- Certification in HSE or a related field is a plus
