We are currently seeking a full-time, direct-hire Field Service Technician for a leading manufacturer of EV charging and battery systems. In this position, you will be the hands-on expert who commissions, troubleshoots, and repairs EV charging and battery systems in the field, while developing into a subject-matter expert on the company's technology.
Responsibilities
- Commission, service, troubleshoot, and repair EV charging and battery energy-storage systems at customer sites.
- Diagnose complex electrical and power-electronics issues in the field, often independently, and drive them to resolution.
- Become a subject-matter expert on the company's technology.
- Support installations and site commissioning activities, and document service cases and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Travel to customer sites as needed, primarily on planned and consolidated trips.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on field service experience with diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronic, or energy systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot autonomously by reading schematics, researching components, and resolving issues independently.
- Comfort working with high-voltage systems and power electronics.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for customer service and commissioning activities.
- Self-starter who is motivated to continuously learn new product technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EV charging, BESS, industrial solar, UPS systems, or related power equipment.
- Background as a high-voltage, battery, electrical, or electronics technician.
- Relevant certifications or formal electrical/electronics training.
