What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated E2E Engineer to drive a part level system design for E2E cost analysis. This role will work closely with packaging, material flow, layout, finance, manufacturing, product design, quality, supply chain managers to identify the best combination of solutions across the board for Tesla with a goal of cost savings.
The position requires a strong foundation in Engineering, complemented by deep expertise in data analytics, business case analysis, and supply chain fundamentals. Problem solving, thinking out of the box, first principles thinking and data driven decision making are expected.
The ideal candidate will excel in a demanding and fast-paced environment, working as a part of strong, agile, and highly motivated team to accomplish some of the most ambitious projects being attempted in any industry today. A successful applicant will take pride in their thoroughness, analytical ability, organizational skills, and team mentality — and will be able to think at a systems level about ambiguous problems, using strong logic to develop models that drive optimal program design decisions.
What You'll Do
Lead end-to-end projects on a part basis across all product lines, owning scope from supplier to point of use and identifying the optimal combination of solutions across packaging, logistics, manufacturing, material flow, layout, quality, and safetyIdentify potential improvements to along with the supply chain to reduce overall costsBuild, optimize, and maintain data analytics tools and models. Demonstrate experience in modeling complex systems and presenting clear, concise summaries of complex analyses to varied audiencesUnderstand financial models and independently develop basic business cases to support project recommendations and investment decisionsCommunicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams while escalating effectivelyConvince cross-functional leadership of business case logic and team recommendations
What You'll Bring
2 years’ experience with emphasis on supply chain optimization (internship experience will be considered)Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Packaging, Logistics and/or equivalent experienceExperience in utilizing SQL and scripting languages like Python to process and prepare data for modeling and analysisExperience in quantitatively solving ambiguous problems at a systems levelExperience with data visualization/analysis software such as Tableau, PowerBIExtensive experience in Excel with VBA (Or similar tools)Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive projects with diverse teams in a high-volume manufacturing environmentExtensive detailed analysis experience to make data-driven decisions and summarize results for executivesExemplary verbal and written communication skills
