We are looking for an experienced Financing Solutions Specialist to support the development and delivery of financing solutions across the UK and Continental Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Financing Solutions & Strategy – 60%
- Develop, implement, and optimise comprehensive sales financing programmes for commercial vehicles across the UK and European markets.
- Manage a range of financing products, including dealer financing, loans, leasing, and Fleet-as-a-Service (FaaS) electrification solutions for end customers.
- Monitor the performance of financing programmes and recommend adjustments based on market feedback, customer needs, and business requirements.
- Work closely with Sales, Product, and Operations teams to ensure financing strategies are aligned with overall commercial objectives.
- Develop financing solutions for distributors and end customers in newly established markets, using financing tools to support sales conversion and business growth.
- Provide product and financing training to internal teams, dealers, and relevant external partners.
Market Intelligence & Residual Value Management – 20%
- Conduct competitive analysis of financing products and offerings within the European commercial vehicle market.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, regulatory developments, and emerging financing models.
- Coordinate Residual Value (RV) discussions and provide recommendations to support financing and pricing strategies.
- Prepare market intelligence and business analysis reports, providing data-driven insights to support product positioning and commercial decision-making.
Partnership & Stakeholder Management – 20%
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with banks, leasing companies, and other local and international financial institutions.
- Negotiate financing terms and conditions with financial partners to develop competitive and commercially viable solutions.
- Manage financing business and partnerships for distributors across the region.
- Act as the key point of contact for financing-related matters, working closely with internal Sales teams, dealers, distributors, financial institutions, and regional and headquarters teams.
- Coordinate and deliver financing training programmes for internal stakeholders, dealers, and financial partners.
Financing Operations & Risk Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of financing projects, including application review, credit assessment, negotiation, fund disbursement, and post-lending management.
- Conduct customer and partner credit assessments and identify potential financing and credit risks.
- Monitor repayment performance and support appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between regional teams, headquarters, distributors, and external financial institutions.
- Undertake other responsibilities and projects as assigned by management.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3/4 years of relevant experience in automotive finance, commercial vehicle financing, leasing, banking, financial services, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of vehicle financing, leasing products, dealer financing, and/or commercial vehicle finance solutions.
- Experience working with banks, leasing companies, financial institutions, or other financing partners.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing financing solutions in new or expanding markets.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to use financing solutions to support sales growth and customer acquisition.
- Experience in credit assessment, financing risk management, and the end-to-end financing lifecycle.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and cultures in an international environment.
- Fluency in English is required; Chinese is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in the automotive, commercial vehicle, leasing, or new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.
- Knowledge of the European commercial vehicle financing and leasing market.
