Is this you?
- Do you thrive in a climate-controlled facility machining precision components for Steam Turbine, Large Generator, Gas Turbine, and Combustion product lines?
- Can you program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC equipment and then verify results with advanced inspection tools?
- Are you comfortable juggling laser applications, coating processes, bonding, and heat treatment alongside manual machining?
What will you do?
- Set up and operate CNC equipment: Horizontal Boring Machines, Laser Drillers, and 5-axis milling centers.
- Select tooling/fixturing from complex drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Move parts safely (up to 50 lbs) and stage work using jib and B/C cranes and forklifts; support crane operations.
- Follow established Siemens Energy procedures and quality standards on every run.
When will you work?
- Mon–Thurs: 5:30am–4:00pm
- Mon–Thurs: 4:00pm–2:30am
- Fri–Sun: 5:30am–6:00pm
- Fri–Sun: 5:30pm–6:00am
Minimum qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Experience: 3+ years in CNC operations focused on machining; experience with laser applications and coating machines (specific experience preferred)
- Certification: Fork truck/crane license (active or ability to secure immediately upon selection)
Core capabilities
- CNC setup/operation and safe loading/unloading of workpieces
- Quality-system adherence and complex metrology
- Advanced blueprint interpretation and strong shop math
Assessments & medical
- Ability to obtain an ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher) as part of the pre-hire assessment. Siemens Energy will assist in scheduling the test upon shortlisting.
- Ability to wear a respirator and pass a Process Operator Competency Test.
- Ability to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.
