Role SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Sr. Supply Chain Project Manager to oversee and execute supply chain projects within Rivian's consumer vehicle programs, which include the EDV, R1, R2, and R3 product lines.
As a Sr. Supply Chain Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, tracking project timelines, and driving the successful implementation of supply chain initiatives. This role requires excellent self-driven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure supply chain continuity, processes optimization, and Rivian's overall success on new and existing programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving supply chain management, project management, and/or procurement activities in the automotive, aerospace & defense, or advanced manufacturing industries. They will have a proactive mindset towards leveraging new technologies for supply chain project management optimization, be adept at Change Management, and have a natural drive towards achieving objectives while keeping the larger picture in mind. This role is based onsite in Palo Alto, California.
Responsibilities- Ensure on-time completion of supply chain activities in support of pre-production and production builds by partnering with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, engineering, production, and quality control
- Define, refine, and improve internal ECU/PCBA supply chain systems & processes ● Uncover and clearly articulate supply chain risks to senior leadership and internal stakeholders
- Act as the “voice of supply chain” when collaborating with cross-functional teams on the potential impact of engineering and/or content changes on supply chain cost and timing
- Own data management, analysis, and reporting across an array of applications (Google Workspace, Excel, SAP, Tableau, Confluence, Jira, etc.), particularly as it relates to supply chain material and parts procurement, tooling, risk management, and leadership reporting activities
- Manage short-term projects, ad-hoc requests and various tasks in support of business needs on an as-needed basis
Qualifications- 3+ years of supply chain experience, preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field that imparts strong analytical and communication skills
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate through ambiguity and complexity
- Adept at building data visuals to communicate clear and concise messaging to senior- and executive-level audiences
- Advanced Excel capabilities with knowledge on constructing pivot tables, charts, and formulas
- Advanced data analysis skills, including the ability to extract, manipulate, and interpret large datasets to drive supply chain improvements. Exceptional proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing and analytics platforms (such as Databricks or similar technologies) is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or operations activities for automotive products preferred
- Ability to travel as required to support program implementations and stakeholder engagements
Pay DisclosureThe salary range for this role is $117,200 - $146,500 for Palo Alto, California based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
