Job Responsibilities
1.Carry out process piping design for industrial projects (chemical, energy, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, etc.), including piping layout studies, plot plans, sections, and isometric drawings.
2.Define piping classes, perform wall thickness calculations, and design pipe supports according to ASME B31.3, EN 13480, and Spanish UNE standards.
3.Organize and maintain the piping material database; select valves and special items and prepare datasheets.
4.Build piping models in 3D plant design platforms, run clash checks, and coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
5.Write piping construction specifications and provide technical support to procurement and construction.
6.Participate in the review of site hydrotest and flushing schemes, and manage design changes.
Job Requirements
1.Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
2.Experience: 5+ years of experience in process piping design, familiar with the relevant international and European standards, and basic knowledge of CE/PED requirements.
3.Software: Skilled in AutoCAD Plant 3D, AVEVA E3D/PDMS, or SmartPlant 3D. Proficiency in CAESAR II or AutoPIPE for stress analysis is preferred.
4.Technical Skills: Able to read and develop P&IDs and translate them accurately into 3D layout design; familiar with common metallic and non-metallic piping materials.
5.Language: Spanish is the working language; English level B2 or above , capable of reading international codes and vendor documentation.
6.Personal Attributes: Attention to detail, strong safety awareness, adaptable to project rhythms and occasional site visits.
