We are already live in the field across private haulers and municipalities, and we are scaling fast. This is a ground-floor opportunity to own a territory and help build the category leader in vocational AI.
THE ROLE
We are hiring a Regional Sales Director to sell Fortris subscriptions into refuse/waste fleets and municipal fleet operators. You will own a book of business end-to-end: prospecting, demos, pilots, RFP responses, closing, and expansion. This role is built for a closer who already knows this market—someone with existing relationships among waste-fleet and public-works buyers who can walk in the door on day one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own and grow a regional book of refuse/waste and municipal fleet accounts
• Run the full cycle: prospect, demo, pilot, close, and expand on a per-truck subscription model
• Win competitive municipal RFPs and navigate public-sector procurement
• Partner with our dealer channel and body/OEM partners to source and close deals
• Structure multi-year subscription agreements and pilots with clear, written success criteria
• Be the voice of the customer back to product as we build the roadmap
WHAT YOU BRING
• An existing book of business in refuse/waste or vocational fleets (this is the #1 requirement)
• 5+ years selling SaaS, telematics, fleet video, or fleet-management technology
• A track record closing into large private haulers and/or municipal fleets
• Experience responding to and winning RFPs and public-sector procurement
• Comfort selling a hardware + software + AI solution, not just a point product
• Hunter mentality paired with consultative, multi-stakeholder deal skills
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, yards, and trade shows
NICE TO HAVE
• A standing network inside the waste/recycling industry (haulers, municipalities, public works)
• Familiarity with vocational truck operations and refuse route economics
• Experience selling into both private fleets and government buyers
COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission designed to reward strong closers
• Full benefits
• Base: $110,000–$140,000 | OTE: $220,000–$280,000 (uncapped)
