Summary
The SAT Engineer is responsible for supporting pre-shipment and post-deployment quality verification activities, as well as Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for ESS Link products. This role serves as a key connection between manufacturing operations and customer-site activities by validating product quality, supporting system-level verification, investigating field quality concerns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. The SAT Engineer also provides valuable field feedback to manufacturing and quality organizations, helping drive continuous improvement in product quality, system performance, and operational reliability. This position involves a significant amount of travel and requires strong technical troubleshooting, field support, and problem-solving capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform and support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities for ESS Link products at customer sites
- Execute SAT procedures and quality verification activities in accordance with established standards and requirements
- Document SAT results and prepare technical reports
- Communicate SAT findings and quality concerns to internal stakeholders
- Support resolution of quality issues identified during site activities
- Verify quality and operational readiness of ESS Link systems at customer sites
- Assess installation quality and product conformity
- Support investigation and analysis of field quality concerns
- Collect and review product performance and quality-related data
- Verify compliance with customer requirements and project specifications
- Perform basic electrical verification using digital multimeters and other standard test equipment
- Conduct insulation resistance testing and evaluate results
- Perform communication checks and basic diagnostic activities
- Collect, review, and analyze system logs and operational data
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of system-level concerns
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Respond to field quality concerns and support initial containment activities
- Analyze issues using facts, data, and technical evidence
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions
- Support verification of corrective action effectiveness
- Track quality issues through closure and support preventive improvement efforts
- Provide field feedback to manufacturing and quality organizations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using SAT and field quality data
- Analyze relationships between manufacturing processes and field performance
- Support quality stabilization efforts for new products and projects
- Prepare SAT reports and field quality summaries
- Document quality concerns, technical findings, and corrective actions
- Organize and analyze field data and operational information
- Support KPI reporting and quality performance tracking
- Maintain quality records and project documentation
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Production, Quality Engineering, Project Management, and Commissioning teams
- Support resolution of quality and technical issues across manufacturing and field environments
- Communicate quality risks, concerns, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, commissioning, validation, field service, or related engineering roles
- Experience in ESS, battery systems, electrical equipment, industrial systems, renewable energy, or related industries preferred
- Experience supporting customer-site activities, field troubleshooting, or commissioning activities preferred
- Experience with SAT, FAT, validation, qualification, or system verification activities preferred
- Experience analyzing technical data and identifying root causes of issues preferred
