Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Warranty Engineer to join our team. This individual will play a key role in developing and implementing warranty processes, ensuring high standards are met, and providing oversight to the warranty activities in the market. The Senior Warranty Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and approving warranty proposals from authorized dealers and conducting post-inspections of warranty items in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Warranty Processes & Standards:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of warranty policies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Establish best practices for warranty claim processing and ensure effective communication with dealers and customers.
Review and Approve Warranty Proposals:
- Review and evaluate warranty proposals from authorized dealers to ensure they meet company standards and guidelines.
- Approve or reject warranty claims based on a thorough analysis of the details provided.
- Conduct Post-Inspection of Market Warranty Items:
- Perform detailed post-inspection on warranty items in the market to verify compliance with warranty terms.
- Identify recurring issues or trends in warranty claims and recommend corrective actions to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with dealers, customers, and cross-functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Service) to resolve warranty-related concerns and ensure smooth resolution of claims.
- Provide expert advice to dealers and internal teams on warranty claims, troubleshooting, and technical issues.
Report Generation & Data Analysis:
- Prepare and deliver reports on warranty claims and trends, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Monitor and analyze warranty costs and trends to help drive strategic decision-making and optimize warranty-related costs.
Customer Focused:
- Maintain a customer-first mentality, ensuring that warranty processes contribute to a positive customer experience and product reliability.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warranty engineering, product support, or related technical roles within the manufacturing or automotive industry.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing warranty processes and standards.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical background and ability to understand complex product issues.
- In-depth knowledge of warranty claim processes, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in warranty management systems and related tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in engineering or warranty management are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in quality management and lean principles.
- Knowledge of automotive industry standards and practices.
- Familiarity with warranty-related software and data analysis tools.
Additional Information:
- Ability to travel as needed for inspections and dealer visits.
