What To Expect
The Tesla Energy Policy team supports the development of all policy and energy market reforms related to residential batteries, virtual power plants, retail energy offerings, and home EV charging.
This is multi-faceted role where applicants should show a strong commitment to Tesla’s company mission; excellent written communication skills; an ability to engage with and influence external stakeholders; an ability to clearly and succinctly summarise complex policies and market reforms; and an interest in analysing data to present energy related findings and arguments.
This role will require stakeholder management and engagement internally with diverse project teams comprised of engineering, finance, legal and other disciplines as well as externally with customers and government relationships.

This is a 6-month full-time (38 hours/week) internship opportunity. Those who have recently graduated or are about to graduate are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
Review state and federal energy policies, as well as energy market reforms, and clearly identify impact on Tesla business interestsDraft submissions for regulatory agencies, market bodies and state and federal governmentsDevelop thought leadership articles and white papers on energy policy best practiceRepresent Tesla on industry working groupsManage submission timelines and support with collating input from all parts of the business
