As a Key Account Manager for our North America Transport & Logistics division, you will own the sales strategy and customer relationships that power this transition. You will work directly with the region's largest logistics operators, fleet managers, and transportation companies to help them electrify their operations—creating real business value while accelerating their path to zero emissions. This is not a transactional sales role. You will build long-term strategic partnerships, shape regional market demand, and lead complex deals that transform how goods move. Reporting directly to the VP Sales for Transport & Logistics, you will have the autonomy to build your sales strategy in collaboration with leadership, while having access to the full resources and expertise of ABB's global E-mobility team. In This Role Your Main Accountabilities Will Be
- Drive Regional Sales Strategy & Target Execution – Work closely with the E-Mobility management team to develop and execute the regional sales strategy for Transport & Logistics—identifying key customer segments, setting ambitious sales targets, and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue goals
- Prospect, Develop & Close High-Value Projects – Identify, qualify, and pursue new customer opportunities across the North American logistics and transportation landscape—opening doors, conducting consultative discovery, and closing complex deals that create measurable value for customers and ABB
- Build & Nurture Strategic Customer Relationships – Establish and maintain deep, long-term relationships with key accounts in the Transport & Logistics sector—understanding their operational challenges, business objectives, and expansion plans to position ABB as their strategic EV infrastructure partner
- Enable Installed Base Growth & Customer Success – Support the installed base of ABB E-Mobility products and systems in collaboration with our service and customer success teams—identifying expansion opportunities, solving customer issues, and ensuring long-term satisfaction and loyalty
- Drive Market Demand & Industry Presence – Lead proactive marketing initiatives including participation in trade shows, industry conferences, and logistics agencies—building thought leadership, generating pipeline, and establishing ABB's presence as the leader in fleet electrification
- Manage Pipeline & Deliver Accurate Reporting – Maintain disciplined sales hygiene through accurate, timely pipeline management and reporting—leveraging Salesforce to forecast deals, track progress, and provide senior management with clear visibility into regional sales performance
To make the above work, we are seeking a deep builder relationship with
- 5+ years of proven sales experience in the transportation and logistics market, with a strong understanding of fleet operations, logistics economics, and the competitive landscape—EV infrastructure and electrification experience is a significant asset
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer economics, build compelling business cases for EV infrastructure investment, and structure deals that create mutual value—you are a strategic thinker who sees the big picture and the details
- Proven ability to manage the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure with a track record of meeting ambitious targets and creating business plans you can execute
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills with strong leadership presence; you are energetic, compelling, and equally comfortable presenting to C-suite logistics executives and working with cross-functional teams internally
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with strong adaptability, commercial discipline, and the ability to identify growth opportunities within the business—you combine analytical rigor with entrepreneurial instinct
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline; proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com; basic understanding of contracts and business law; able to self-start, thrive in team environments, and eventually contribute thought leadership to industry discussions; French language required if based in Quebec
