What To Expect
The Construction Superintendent will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers during the planning and execution phases. They will oversee on-site activities, manage resources, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and resolve any issues that arise. The superintendent will also manage project schedules, document progress, and work to keep the project on track, delivering a successful outcome.
What You'll Do
Develop detailed construction plans and schedules in collaboration with project managers and engineersSupervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and resolving any on-site issuesConduct regular inspections to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with building codesMonitor and manage project schedule, adjusting for delays and ensuring timely completionOversee resource management, including labor, equipment, and materials to ensure cost-effective operationsCommunicate with all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth project coordinationMaintain documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders, to track project status
What You'll Bring
Proven experience as a Superintendent in managing large-scale construction projects, including ground-up builds or facility renovationsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions and make informed decisions under pressureIn-depth knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to enforce OSHA and state regulations on-siteExpertise in managing project schedules, resource allocation, and cost controlAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersFamiliarity with construction quality standards, codes, and environmental regulationsProficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
