The Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Head of Sales is responsible for the end-to-end commercial performance of Geely Auto Canada — from channel network development and dealer management, to sales strategy, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You'll be the brand's most senior commercial voice in market and a key member of the Canadian leadership team.
What You'll Own
📊 Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
- Own the ongoing analysis of the Canadian automotive market — tracking consumer trends, competitor positioning, pricing dynamics, and segment shifts.
- Translate market intelligence into actionable strategies that keep Geely Auto ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving EV landscape.
🏪 Channel Network Development
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard the right dealer and distribution partners across Canada, integrating both government relations and dealer group negotiations into a coherent channel strategy.
- Build a retail network that reflects Geely Auto's brand values: accessible, high-quality, and customer-first — from coast to coast.
🎯 Sales Performance & Business Planning
- Set and own annual and monthly sales targets; develop localized go-to-market strategies and commercial policies tailored to the Canadian consumer.
- Drive continuous improvement in channel effectiveness — tracking and optimizing KPIs across sales volume, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Adapt global strategies to local realities, ensuring Geely Auto's commercial approach resonates authentically with Canadian buyers.
🔗 Operational Excellence & Supply Chain Alignment
- Maintain close alignment with supply chain and logistics functions to ensure vehicle availability matches market demand.
- Monitor dealer health and operational performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact the customer experience.
- Balance brand-building priorities with service operations to ensure the business runs soundly at every stage of growth.
⭐ Customer Experience & NPS
- Champion the effective rollout of NPS (Net Promoter Score) programs across the dealer network, ensuring customer feedback is captured, acted on, and drives real improvement.
- Treat every piece of customer feedback as a business priority — building a culture where the customer's voice shapes every commercial decision.
⚖️ Compliance & Risk Management
- Proactively identify and manage operational and regulatory risks across the full sales cycle.
- Ensure all sales activities are conducted in full compliance with Canadian automotive regulations, consumer protection standards, and Geely Auto's global policies.
🚀 Brand Ambassadorship
- Serve as the face of Geely Auto in the Canadian market — representing the brand with dealers, partners, industry bodies, and media.
- Inspire, align, and elevate the Canadian sales team, embodying the Geely Auto values of Spirit of Excellence, Innovation Through Curiosity, and Commitment to Empathy in every interaction.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive automotive sales experience, with a background in either a dealer group or an OEM/brand environment — you understand both sides of the retail equation.
- A demonstrable track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive, fast-moving market.
- Deep knowledge of dealer network development and management — from prospecting and onboarding to performance management and relationship building.
- Strong grasp of automotive market dynamics in Canada, including the EV transition, consumer behaviour shifts, and the competitive landscape.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills — you can rally a team, negotiate with partners, and present to senior stakeholders with equal confidence.
- Full professional proficiency in English is required; proficiency in French or Chinese is a significant asset in the Canadian bilingual market.
- A genuine entrepreneurial spirit — comfortable with ambiguity, energized by ownership, and motivated by the challenge of building something from scratch.
