About the Job
Role Objective
We are seeking an experienced Auto Finance Manager with a strong background in OEM operations to lead our automotive financing initiatives in Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing auto finance strategies, managing relationships with financial institutions, and supporting sales teams to maximize market penetration and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Canada automotive finance landscape, including relationships with local banks, financial institutions, and a thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement floor plan and retail auto finance / leasing strategies to support OEM sales targets in Canada.
- Design and manage subvention programs to support sales campaigns for vehicles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local financial institutions, banks, and other lending partners.
- Conduct regular training sessions for dealer sales teams on product knowledge, sales techniques, compliance, and ethical standards.
- Analyze market trends and customer preferences to tailor financing solutions.
- Coordinate with OEM sales teams and dealerships to facilitate financing options for customers.
- Coordinate with the banks to study the end-to-end auto finance and leasing process, including credit approval, documentation, funding and landing.
- Coordinate with the banks to monitor portfolio performance, including delinquency rates, defaults, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on all relevant legal and regulatory changes affecting automotive finance.
- Mitigate risk related to wholesale financing (floorplan) for the dealer network.
- Prepare reports and forecasts on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financing services and customer experience.
- Rich experiences with retail auto financing and leasing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or postgraduate finance qualification is a plus.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in auto finance management, preferably with OEM or automotive manufacturer backgrounds.
- Extensive knowledge of the Canadian automotive market, financial regulations, and lending institutions.
- Experience with digital financing platforms.
- Understanding of credit risk management and compliance.
- Native English required (oral and written).
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
