What To Expect
As a Tool Install Logistics Project Manager, you will be playing a critical role in Logistics management in new factory buildout, upgrading capacity, maintaining operations, and optimizing systems for the most exciting company in the world. You will manage general contractors and subcontractors of various trades to help install new manufacturing lines and collaborate cross-functionally with construction engineering, design, facilities, commissioning, and manufacturing as the facility transitions to production operations. From both the field and office, you will be responsible for maintaining budgets, schedules, procedures and execution. This role will require 50% of travel.
What You'll Do
Takes ownership of assigned projects, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction, opportunities, and cost savings for TeslaEvaluates bidding, material buyouts, and negotiating opportunities for potential and assigned projects. Prepares major purchase orders while following appropriate pricing and scope evaluationsMaintains effective communication with Tesla personnel, including Construction, Manufacturing, Tool Install, QC, QA, CX, and FacilitiesCompletes project startup procedures, including but not limited to: Making projections, budgeting, and performing job cost entry for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractsCollaborate with the Global Supply Manager to understand customer needs for all inbound and outbound equipment logistics and work with transportation companies to ensure adherence to purchase order Incoterms and schedule needsReviews project plans, P&ID’s, single-line diagrams, and loop diagrams to account for all material and hardwareDeveloping Master Logistics Programs from zero, that included earthwork, temp utilities, security, site development, space allocations
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experienceProficiency with or ability to learn how to use Primavera, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Suite, Revu Bluebeam, accounting software, estimating software, and other required systems and softwareAbility to read and interpret all contract documents, plans, specifications, and requirementsWork in a fast-paced environment and capitalize on project opportunitiesKnowledge of trade terms, materials, methods, codes, contract and specification language, bidding methodsAbility to provide inside reports and data analyst by Excel (Advanced functions, Pivot Tables), chats and dashboards and Power BI
