Overview:The
Spare Parts Specialist is responsible for end-to-end supply chain and material control of spare parts, including demand planning, procurement, inventory optimization, and warehouse coordination, etc… The role ensures parts availability across all markets while maintaining optimal inventory levels, cost efficiency, and compliance with OEM aftersales standards.
Job responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain & Material Control
- Manage the full supply chain cycle of spare parts—from forecasting, purchasing, inbound logistics, warehouse receiving, to market distribution.
- Establish and monitor safety stock, reorder points, MOQ, and buffer stock for each parts category.
- Evaluate stock movement (fast/slow movers, dead stock) and implement appropriate replenishment or liquidation actions.
- Analyze lead times, supplier performance, and logistics efficiency to minimize delays and shortages.
- Ensure data accuracy across SAP systems for stock levels, material codes, and master data.
2. Inventory Planning & Optimization
- Develop monthly and quarterly demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and service center consumption.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance availability vs. working capital, reducing excess stock and minimizing back orders.
- Conduct regular inventory health checks and cycle counts with warehouses.
- Maintain and track inventory KPIs: fill rate, OTIF, stock turnover, aging, and inventory accuracy.
3. Market & Warehouse Coordination - Coordinate inbound shipments and distribution plans with central warehouse and market warehouses.
- Resolve order issues, delivery discrepancies, and system errors promptly and systematically.
- Collaborate closely with distributors, service centers, logistics teams, procurement, and planning departments.
4. Cost & Budget Management - Prepare annual and monthly budgets for spare parts procurement and inventory holding costs.
- Monitor spending, analyze variances, and implement cost-optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in supply chain, material control, spare parts planning, or inventory management (automotive industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of demand forecasting, material planning, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Proficient in SAP (MM/SD modules) and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage urgent requests, and handle multiple priorities.
- Fluent in English.
